This fun, relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop is designed to give you the confidence to start sewing. During the day you'll learn how to:

Whether you've never used a sewing machine before or just need a refresher, this one-day workshop will teach you the essential skills to get you started on your sewing journey.

Always wanted to learn to sew but don't know where to start? This friendly, hands-on 9-week course will take you from complete beginner to confidently sewing your own projects.

We'll start with the basics — getting to know your sewing machine, threading, bobbins, tension, needles and grain line — before building your skills step by step.

You'll learn:
✂️ Different seam types
🧵 Various zip insertions
📐 Pleats — knife, box & inverted
👜 Pockets
👗 And lots of practical sewing techniques

The course finishes with a project of your choice, where I'll guide you through choosing your pattern, cutting out and constructing your finished piece.

💕 Perfect if you're a complete beginner or want to learn the right way from the foundations.

🧵 Pyjama trousers made in one Sew Day! 🧵
How fabulous are these pyjama trousers? 😍 I absolutely love this fun dog print fabric — perfect for a cosy pair of PJs!
These were made during one of my Sew Day workshops, where you can bring along a project, work at your own pace and have help and guidance along the way when you need it.
And just look at what can be achieved in an afternoon! ✂️🪡
There’s something so satisfying about making your own clothes, especially when you get to choose the fabric and end up with something that’s completely you. ❤️
A lovely project, a great afternoon of sewing and a finished pair of pyjama trousers to enjoy afterwards — what’s not to love? 🥰
