Late Qing Dynasty Chinese Ceremonial Dragon Robe (c. 1865–1908)

A magnificent hand-embroidered Chinese silk dragon robe dating to the late Qing Dynasty, richly decorated with powerful five-clawed dragons soaring amongst clouds above the traditional lishui (standing waves) and sacred mountain motifs. The intricate gold couching, vibrant silk embroidery, and striking red combine to create a truly impressive ceremonial textile.

The robe displays the honest wear and age expected of a piece well over a century old, with areas of thread loss that reflect its long history rather than detract from its remarkable presence. The broad sleeves, symbolic dragon imagery, and elaborate cosmological decoration suggest it may have been created for ceremonial or ritual use.

A truly beautiful carriage coat believed to be Victorian is hand sewn using a floral silk brocade material.

One of our lovely customers allowed me photograph her trying it on, she is a uk size 8. The very top button has remained undone in the photos and has been replaced at some point. Slight discolouration around the sleeves and collar but not very visible.

Very wearable piece.

1920s-30s Fabulous silk jacket, heavily adorned with hand embroidered silk flowers, ferns and butterflies. 🦋

Very wearable item in good vintage condition, inside arm might need some attention but overall it’s fine and looks wonderful.

Stunning 1920s lamé shawl in fantastic condition reversible, black with colourful flowers on one side and a fabulous shimmering silver/gold lamé with the same pretty floral design on the other side. With classic black fringing and it shimmers wonderfully in the light. ✨

Measures 90 cm by 129 cm with fringing an extra 30 cm.

An opulent gold lamé and silk velvet opera coat with a prestigious Liberty label.

This garment is in fantastic wearable condition as it has been carefully relined to an exact match of the original, thankfully the exterior was already very well preserved and needed no restoration.
