We opened a little late this morning as we had Miriam from Cushendale Woollen Mills visit us to give us a greater insight into how her 8th generation family mill produce their stunning textiles. We have been a proud stockist of Cushendale for years now, we love their ethos, their emphasis on sustainability and the quality of their blankets and scarves. We heard about how the mill was established, how it harnesses the power of the river, the importance of respecting that river, how the yarn is sourced, carded, dyed and woven. Miriam brought in sample yarn, including fleece from our native Galway sheep which they use in many of their products. Amazing, insightful visit, and fab for our team to learn so much about the products they are selling to visitors of our shop.
