I love discovering the little differences between vintage and modern sewing machines.

This tiny tab on my Singer 28K manually releases the upper thread tension, while modern machines do it automatically when you lift the presser foot.

A quick summer upcycle! I found this 100% cotton dress in a charity shop for just €3 and turned it into a summer top with a matching headscarf.

One sewing rule I never break: fabric scissors are for fabric only!

Because cutting anything else can dull the blades. So yes… I stopped and changed scissors for the tag. 😂

My little sewing buddy. This vintage Singer sewing machine is about 94 years older than him, but somehow he always wants a turn whenever I bring her out.

Maybe I’m raising the next little sewist! 😆

Creating a decorative stitch by hand on my vintage Novum Zigzag Deluxe.

I love that I get to control the pattern myself by moving the stitch-width lever while sewing. It’s definitely not perfect yet, but I’ll get there!

A little clean-up for this beautiful vintage Singer 28K.

The bobbin shuttle can collect quite a bit of lint, dust and old dirt, so it’s worth giving it some love every now and then.
