Running April 24-25 at Pirelli HangarBicocca in Milan, this manifesto for workers’ rights transforms 7 work uniforms into stunning art pieces by 7 visionary fashion designers.

The expo also hosted Trama Plaza’s standout talk “Tutto quello che avreste voluto sapere sulla moda*, *ma non avete mai osato chiedere” – a brilliant roundtable with top industry experts fielding your questions on responsible fashion. It took me a few days to figure out if and what to write after hearing the news of ‘s passing—the legendary Italian designer known as the “Godfather of Denim,” who co-founded and , pioneered premium jeans, and revolutionized the industry with brands like AG Adriano Goldschmied and Goldsign. So, I’ve decided to share the memory of when I felt like an excited, shy little girl asking him for a photo.

That’s why today, I’m so happy to have these memories of the visionary who transformed jeans from workwear into high-fashion icons.
