I have alway loved bias cutting with its fluidity and liquid movement. The fabric was a heavy metallic tissue crepe in a soft gold. Looking back into my bridal collection there are amazing treasures. A simple black wedding dress, stretch bustier with silk organza overlay skirt printed by The Front Room. We had such a different approach with a very romantic natural feel. Great day at FieldDays with Toula- Southland Carbon. Wool and biochar new ideas that are sustainable, safe and highly visible. First shorn lambswool felt from Ware Ware Station, mid micron, dyed woven and felted in Mt Wellington, Auckland. Seen on Country Calendar last Sunday. Safety Wear with a designer’s edge, created in our Atelier in Grey Lynn. A great reaction to our products with attention to construction and fit. The Fluoro orange is a great disruptor.

A wonderful celebration for Else Groen, lunch with her family and friends to celebrate this beautiful, elegant Dutch woman, who was a Resistance soldier during the war, facing death, starvation and losing many of her family. Else modelled for me as I was establishing my brand, an older model who we all loved, with her style and mystery. Fashion Quarterly’s issue in 1999, celebrating Age chose Else for the cover in Liz Mitchell.
