Stay salty, sun-kissed & protected. Kia ora, I’m Vikki — artist, ocean lover, and founder of Wild Design NZ. Born in the UK and now happily based by the sea in beautiful Aotearoa, I’m inspired by nature’s wild places, salty adventures, and sun-soaked coastlines. Wild Design NZ is where my hand-drawn art, surface pattern designs, and love for nature and the ocean come together. Every product is created with care and features my own unique designs. Sea Sway is painting #3 because sometimes inspiration is hiding in the smallest things.

Neptune's Necklace is one of those wonderfully curious bits of seaweed you might spot along the shore, with its strings of little bead-like air-filled bubbles and the next little sea story I've brought to life in gouache for my 30 Sea Stories project, celebrating the details of the ocean that are easy to overlook, but well worth a closer look.

A little reminder to find your own rhythm, too.

Each painting is a small reminder of why I love being near, in or under the water. It's my happy place, where the world above can wait a while.
