How you store your clothes matters more than most people realise.

Heavy knitwear can stretch when hung. Sunlight can slowly fade fabrics. And storing clothes before they’re properly cleaned can set stains and attract moths.

A few small changes can make a big difference:

• Fold chunky knits instead of hanging them
• Use good hangers that support the shoulders
• Keep garments clean and dry before storing
• Avoid direct sunlight when possible

Taking a little care at home helps your clothes last longer — and means fewer repairs down the line.

Travelling for your wedding? ✈️ Don’t just toss your gown in a suitcase and hope for the best. Keep these few simple tips in mind to make sure you arrive looking flawless — and stress-free.

• Use a good garment bag (breathable fabric, long enough for full length, ideally padded) instead of a regular plastic dry-cleaner bag or suitcase.  
• Always carry-on your dress, don’t check it in. If your dress is big, call the airline and ask about closet space.  
• If you must fold the gown for transport, layer acid-free tissue paper between folds and pack gently to avoid creases or snags.  
• If you’re driving — lie the dress flat across the back seat (or hang it using the car’s garment hook), and avoid high heat or sun exposure.
