Today has been a stressful day.

I apologise in advance but I need to vent.

I have been almost exclusively making Roman blinds for the last 10 years, and everyone tells me that I sew to a very high quality and that I'm the best Roman blind maker around. But every now and then - as every seamist will know - you come across a fabric that makes you feel as if this is the first time you've ever sewn anything and that perhaps you should question your life choices. You do all the things you normally do, and the fabric just won't cooperate. You give your seam ripper a blimmin good workout, swear a little, sew it again, swear some more, repeat a few times and eventually say "Stuff it, that's the best I can do."

Well today's fabric has done that for me, and I will be passing it on to the fabric company rep that I absolutely do not recommend that it be used for Roman blinds ever again unless the goal is to send the seamist to the loony bin.

Thanks for listening to my little rant. I'm going to have a wee cry and then cross my fingers that the end result is not as bad as I think it is.

Work still in progress. Got my workroom set up last night after a shopping spree for tools and things.
Today is a computer day, getting my email address sorted and applying for accounts with various suppliers.
It's getting exciting folks!
