Power House Knits was inspired by my family’s love of the outdoors and the Cascades and also to help me work through an invisible illness.

I learned to knit from my British Nana and enjoy creating beautiful knit wear for those I love.

Orange and black? Not my colors. 🎃 I’m more of a purple-and-pink-and-everything-in-between kind of ghoul. No tricks here, just a treat: these chunky handknit mittens are now in my Etsy shop. Your hands will be the best-dressed thing at the pumpkin patch. 🧶💜

Jk. But seriously as a perfectionist I could use this mentality more often.

I sometimes forget to give my Wee Bee Lite Beanie love. It’s knit with Malabrigo chunky and it’s a perfectly fitted hat. It’s so cozy under ski helmets and hiker hoodies. These two are ready to go in my Etsy shop as we speak. My shop is in my bio. The pattern is there too.

I am not saying we should all quit our day jobs to just go frolic in the forest.

But also not not saying that…

It’s a beautiful day in the Cascade Mountains to take pics of the beanies in my Etsy shop today.

Warm hands=zero regrets!

Doesn’t take much to make me happy.

As a public school teacher, Spring sometimes means chaos, but your likes and comments keep me sane! 😬🫣 46 school days to go and I'll make it, thanks to all of you who brighten up my day with your support.

Don’t we all just need some bright and cheerful in our lives. This one is not on my shop yet but if you love it message me on Etsy or pm me on social media. It really is ready for your next adventure.

Road trip knitting and 3 day weekends. Being on the downhill slope of the school year and seeing my BFF soon. Tamales with my men in my life including our 7 year old puppy Obie. I am a lucky lady.

I added and update some knits in the shop over the last few days. The rest are being added soon. The Meta algorithm and I don’t get along but sharing my knits still makes me happy.
