It’s been an exciting—and gorgeous—summer at Tonya Maggio Interiors. Behind the scenes, we’ve been designing, installing, sourcing, styling, and bringing some truly special homes to life.

Hard to believe it’s been more than a year that we received the “Home Excellence Award” for this design work!

We loved transforming this primary bath into a serene retreat tailored for a busy young family. Thoughtfully crafted custom cabinetry ensures everything has its place, while the luxurious soaking tub and spacious shower feature handpicked Moroccan-inspired tiles for a touch of artisanal charm.

A special thank you to What's Up? Media | Annapolis•Eastern Shore• Central MD for featuring us and recognizing our hard work. We are so grateful for this editorial highlight and for the opportunity to do what we love every day.

Here’s to more beautiful designs, incredible collaborations, and a future filled with inspired interiors!

Favorite photo from the shoot… although choosing just one was a tough decision.

There’s something about this image that captures everything we love about this home—the layers, the details, and the way it all came together.

And there may just be a little something special happening with this property soon…

Can’t share quite yet, but stay tuned. This one deserves its moment.

July, you were a good one.

I can’t believe we’re already turning the calendar to August. Before we know it, backpacks will be packed, routines will return, and another school year will be underway.

This summer has been a busy one for our team. While each of us took time to step away and make memories with our families, we worked together to keep every project moving forward. It’s one of the things I’m most proud of—having a team that supports one another so our clients continue to feel taken care of, even during vacation season.

July was filled with site visits, design presentations, kitchen plans, custom cabinetry, furnishings, and all the beautiful details that bring a home to life. We’re so grateful to our wonderful clients for trusting us with their homes and to our incredible trade partners who help make each project possible.

Now it’s time to gear up for a busy fall, and we can’t wait to share what’s coming next.
Here’s to a wonderful August!

Things We’re Loving Right Now for Your Home

Every season brings fresh inspiration, but the best interiors aren’t about chasing trends—they’re about creating a home that feels timeless, personal, and beautifully lived in.
These are a few of the design details we’re reaching for again and again in our client projects.

1. Color That Feels Like a Breath of Fresh Air
We’re seeing homeowners become more confident with color, and we’re here for it. Soft sage greens, dusty blues, warm mushroom tones, and muted terracottas add personality without overwhelming a space. Whether it’s a painted kitchen island, a wallpapered powder room, or upholstered dining chairs, thoughtful color creates warmth and character.

2. Statement Lighting
Lighting has become jewelry for the home. A sculptural chandelier, oversized pendant, or pair of beautiful sconces instantly elevates a room. We love mixing classic silhouettes with unexpected materials like woven shades, plaster finishes, or aged brass for a collected look.

3. Layered Textures
The rooms that feel the most inviting rarely rely on color alone. Natural linens, woven shades, grasscloth wallpaper, vintage rugs, warm woods, and handcrafted ceramics all work together to create depth and richness. Texture is what makes a home feel finished

4. Beautiful Storage
We’re always looking for ways to make storage both practical and beautiful.
Custom built-ins, reeded cabinet fronts, hidden pantries, furniture-style vanities, and thoughtfully designed mudrooms prove that organization doesn’t have to sacrifice style.

5. Pattern Play
One of our favorite ways to add personality is through pattern.
A bold wallpaper in a powder room, a striped chair, patterned drapery, or an unexpected tile layout can completely change the character of a space while still feeling timeless.

It’s often the smallest details that make the biggest impact.

One of our favorite ways to elevate a bathroom is through a thoughtful tile pattern. Whether it’s herringbone, basketweave, stacked, or a custom layout, the installation itself can completely transform the space—even with a simple, classic tile.

It’s those intentional design choices that make a room feel custom, timeless, and uniquely yours.

Because sometimes, it’s not about choosing a different tile. It’s about seeing it differently.

Setting the table is one of my favorite rituals.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about setting the mood, making people feel welcome, and creating a space that says, we’re so glad you’re here.

A few candles, fresh flowers, cloth napkins, and beautiful dishes have a way of turning an ordinary meal into something memorable.

The best homes aren’t just beautiful—they’re lived in. They’re where friends linger after dessert, kids come back for seconds, and conversations last long after the plates are cleared.

That’s what good design is really about.
Creating a home that brings people together.

Welcome to my home.

I spend so much time sharing our clients’ homes that I thought it might be fun to invite you into my own—starting with my favorite room in the house.

This is my kitchen, and if I’m being honest, it’s probably the space that best reflects who I am and how I like to live.

When I designed it, I wasn’t trying to create a showpiece. I wanted a kitchen that felt warm, welcoming, and ready for whatever the day brought.

There are so many details in this space that I still love. The statement lighting gives the room personality from the moment you walk in. The natural stone on the perimeter countertops brings movement and character that only real stone can. The scalloped backsplash adds just enough texture and charm, while the V-groove detailing is one of my favorite touches because it feels classic and architectural without screaming for attention. Paired with warm white cabinetry and walnut accents, the whole room feels comfortable, collected, and lived in.

But the truth is, the design isn’t what makes this kitchen special.

My husband loves to cook. Really loves to cook. Somewhere along the way, our boys picked up that same passion, and this kitchen became the place where so much of our life happens.

Some of my favorite memories as a mom have happened right here. As my boys have gotten older, I’ve realized how much I cherish those ordinary moments. The quick weeknight dinners. The laughter that comes out of nowhere. The recipes we make over and over again.

One of my best friends always says this is her favorite restaurant, and honestly, I know exactly what she means.

Because the best kitchens aren’t necessarily the fanciest ones. They’re the ones that draw people in. The ones where everyone naturally gathers. The ones that become the backdrop for a life well lived.

Without question, it’s still my favorite project.
