A few years ago, my son went to work for a tech startup called WIZ. Naturally, I asked what his new title would be.
“Wizard,” he replied. When Google announced it was acquiring the company, I couldn't resist asking if they planned to rename
it G-WIZ! “Good one, Dad,” came the less-than-enthusiastic reply. “I'll send you some swag when the deal is done.”
Well, apparently the WIZ name is staying, but true to his word, something came flying out of the company gift shop.
And here it is.
After 52 years in men's wear, I've worn a lot of hats. But this may be the first one that came with a propeller. G-WIZ, son. I'm impressed!

Playoff football has officially arrived! The Waubonsie Valley Warriors traveled north to pay a visit to the Barrington Broncos in the opening round. The Broncos, one of the hottest teams in the state, on a six-game win streak-sent the warriors home empty handed in a 28-0 Bronco win. Go Broncos Go!

Head coach Ben Johnson handed out four game balls to wide receivers Luther Burden III and Rome Odunze, linebacker D'Marco Jackson and kicker Cairo Santos. Burden had a monster first half with four catches for 130 yards and a touchdown while Odunze played a key role in the second half, totaling four catches for 69 yards and the game-clinching onside kick recovery. Jackson totaled six tackles, one pass breakup and an interception, the game's lone takeaway. Despite missing a 53-yard field goal earlier in the game, Santos connected on what would be the game-winning 58-yard field goal, a career-long.
