Alicia hasn't even seen her quilt yet, but I just couldn't wait to show you! 😍 This is her Show & Tell Quilt by Elizabeth Hartman that I've been NOT waiting patiently for since I found out it was coming... and it doesn't dissapoint. 🏆 Each little quilt is perfectly unique and the animals are just adorable. We're using the Sun Kissed Petite design on this again, and it's becoming sooo popular in the Studio. Swirls, Feathers and most importantly, movement!🪡 Add in a Beach Grass thread from Superior Threads and it's perfection. 😘

PSA! 📣Just a notice that I'm swimming in Christmas quilts, and if you have one to bring me, now is the time! Carol had me put together some festive placemats on the longarm, and the Jingle Bell Roll design is adorable! I have a Grinch quilt on the machine now, and I can't wait to show you! But seriously, don't wait too long... it's getting crazy around here! 🎄

This was a TREAT to work on... 🍬. No, for real! 😄 Look at this piecing! Aurora is at it again, and this time she sent in this fantastic Happy Halloween Quilt from Elizabeth Hartman. I love it!! Spooky, fun, and with the most divine King Tut variegated thread called Egyptian Princess from Superior Threads. Don't get me started on how much I love King Tut thread. 🪡 Look close and you'll see how it shades from pink to purple and makes that yummy texture pop even more. And is this not the cutest design? Pumpkins, ghosts and flowers... 👻🎃🌸

I. AM. SEW. EXCITED! 🪡 We have the go-ahead, the green light, and the AWEsome space reserved at Crystal Bridges Museum of Art for our first of many SEWcial Club meet-ups! So go ahead and mark off the Second Friday of every month from 5-8pm for a drop-in style get-together of all your favorite people, projects and controlled(ish) chaos. The next one is scheduled for October 9th! All you have to do is bring your machine (get a rolling Sewing Tote bag!) or some hand-sewing, a project to work on and your good vibes. You can sew whatever your heart desires - quilts, garments, bags, up-cycling, applique, ALL the things. So pack your stuff, grab some take-out after work, and come straight to Studio F for laughs and mishaps. This is a 14+ and up get-together (SO many sharp things). My hope is that we can grow together, learn new things, have big ideas and create amazing things with friends. Are YOU coming?? Let me know! I can't wait to see you!

🦆🦆GOOSE! Jodi brought in this super fun Goose Quilt, and I could not be happier with how it turned out! I really wanted to show you the Rosemary digital design on this one... so dainty, so petite and so lovely. It looks like the geese are frolicking in a garden 🌿. We used an Omni Pearl White thread from Superior Threads that just melted into the quilt, making the yummy texture of the quilting shine. And that blue backing 😍 Wow!

🎉🎉 New Class!!! 🎉🎉 If you've been wanting to check out the fabulous Studios at Crystal Bridges and catch a great class, this is it. We'll be making a quilted pillow, and also learning the awesome Needle-Turn Applique 🪡 technique while we build out shape,texture and design. This is a 6 week class on Sunday afternoons starting September 27th! If you've been wanting to learn Needle-Turn Applique, and want to make some new friends, come on! I've saved a seat for you. 🤗

Hi my Quilty friends! I'm officially back from a little vacation, and back at it in the Studio. 🪡 The machine is quilting away and I thought you might want to see a fun photo I took at our favorite bakery Alexander Baking Co. in Rogers. Look at this cake! You're seeing what I'm seeing, right?! ❤️ I guess when you quilt, you just see it everywhere, lol! Anyway, thank you to the kind and lovely quilters who have been patiently waiting for me to finish my little break. It's always nice to have a little breather before the Christmas Rush, and the Holidays coming up. Happy Quilting!
