A Week of Favorites - We're re-sharing some of your favorite videos from the past few months!

Two hours of posed portraits is a choice a photographer makes. It's not a rule you have to accept.
We build your timeline so portraits get 30–45 focused minutes, not two hours. That means more time on your actual wedding day to spend with your family, friends, and guests, instead of standing in front of a camera.

A beautiful wedding at Mayowood Stone Barn in Rochester, MN, with Marissa and Nathan. This wedding was gorgeous, from the flowers to the venue, and the little unique touches from the couple, including references to The Office TV show. We loved shooting this wedding back in the state where our business began - Minnesota.

1. How do we pick a location for our shoot?
Our answer: wherever you already spend time together. Your coffee shop, your trail, your kitchen. We talk it through with you, not off a location list.

2. How much posing should we expect?
Our answer: some direction when it helps, then we get out of the way. You shouldn't leave feeling like you performed.

3. What if I hate having my photo taken?
Our answer: honestly, most people say this. The session is exactly where we work through that, so it's already handled by the wedding day.

4. How long does an engagement shoot take?
Our answer: usually 45 minutes to an hour. Long enough to settle in, short enough that it doesn't feel like a chore.

5. Can we bring our dog?
Our answer: yes. If it's part of your life, it's part of the session.

We want you to feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera on your wedding day so you can get shots that you love and that truly feel like you. One way to get those comfortable-looking photos is to have a practice run - your engagement session. Even if you think you don't need it, we still recommend it so you and your photographer can practice, and you can all get to know each other before the big day.

Sneak Peek (sort of) - It's a longer montage, but there were too many great photos to pick from!

From the way that the mother of the groom looked at her son as they walked down the aisle, to the silly wedding party poses squeezing in every inside joke, there was so much love pouring out of everyone at this wedding. On an already bright day, the love made it even brighter!

We don't just take your photos, hand you your digitals, and call it a day. We prioritize making sure you have every detail you want when it comes to these precious wedding day memories.

We give you options to purchase physical albums, flip books, prints, and frames. How does it work? After your wedding, you'll come to our studio for your big gallery reveal. You'll enjoy drinks and snacks while you and your partner look through your photos and hand-pick exactly what you want for your physical prints.

For your album, you can touch and feel some of our past products and swatches to help you decide on the box wood color, the album color and material, your ribbon color, and of course, every photo built into beautiful collages containing each detail you want to cherish from your day. We want to give you physical products in your hands instead of just having to look at a screen.

The Video vs. The Shot - We love seeing the behind the scenes of our photos and comparing them with our final products. We had such a fun shoot with Claudia and Brock at the Overture Center for the Arts and we are so excited to be shooting their wedding very soon!
