I’m still learning…this 👇

Sometimes the enemy doesn’t attack your weakness first. He attacks your gift.

Today at the gym I had a conversation with one of my brothers. He’s gifted in music. Produces it. Writes it. Lives around it.

But he admitted something that caught me off guard…

“I struggle with worship.”

It made me stop and think.

How often does the enemy use the very thing God designed for His glory to distract us from Him?

For Peter it was fishing.
For my friend it was music.
For me, I’ve had to guard against making fitness, work, or even serving people become more important than simply being with God.

Your gift isn’t the problem.

Just don’t let the gift replace the Giver.

I’m learning that worship isn’t the workout…

It’s the warm-up.

Whatever it takes.

If you’re discouraged because no one appreciates you... read this.

Jesus healed 10.
Only 1 came back.

He didn’t stop healing because 9 didn’t say thank you.

Don’t let someone else’s lack of gratitude stop you from doing good.

Keep serving.
Keep honoring.
Keep giving.

God sees what people miss.

Galatians 6:9 — Don’t grow weary in doing good, for at proper time you will reap a harvest if you do not give up.

It’s better to lead from overflow than exhaustion.

I’ve tried leading from empty — as a dad, husband, at work, in gym. It leaks.

People get your leftovers, not your best.

I’m learning to fill first, then pour.

Word first, then work.

Prayer first, then people.

You can’t give what you don’t have.

Overflow > Exhaustion. #300
