It’s almost dragoncon time and I’ll be missing out this year! I’ve started my new job teaching at UNC so my focus is on that for now. I love that I get to share the knowledge I’ve been given. Thinking of dragoncon made me think of when I debuted my umbreon fairy based on the artwork of 🌸Sunset Dragon🌸 and I love these photos by Amiephotos.

Details! I spent an inordinate amount of time on the details of this costume. I hand dyed the silk for the flowers and leaves, I patterned and constructed each flower and leaf. I painted the wings by hand to match the drawing. This was the first time I made a bunny suit and I made 4 mockups before making the final version (normally only 2 mockups is more than enough for me). I hand sculpted the moon details for the headband and necklace. I learned jewelry making techniques for the necklace. So many details!
