A little bittersweet, but we’re excited to share that on October 1st, we’ll officially be passing Knotted Chain Permanent Jewelry into the very capable hands of its new owner, Emily Landwehr. ✨🔗

If you haven’t met Emily yet, we can’t wait for you to! She’s a fifth-grade teacher in the Howard-Suamico School District, recently engaged, and someone whose kindness, creativity, and genuine love for connecting with people immediately stood out to us. From the moment we met her, we knew she’d be a wonderful fit to carry Knotted Chain into its next chapter.

When we started Knotted Chain three years ago, we never imagined where it would take us. What began as a fun adventure turned into something so much bigger thanks to all of you. We’ve met incredible people and local businesses, celebrated so many special moments, built friendships we’ll always be grateful for, and, most importantly, had the opportunity to show our daughters what it looks like to build something together through hard work, creativity, and a whole lot of heart. That may be one of the greatest gifts this journey has given us.

While we still love everything about Knotted Chain, this season of life looks a little different than when we started. Between our full-time careers and kids who seem to get busier by the day, we’ve realized it’s time to pass the business on to someone who is ready to give it the energy and passion it deserves and help it continue to grow. This wasn’t a decision we made overnight, but one we made because we truly want to see Knotted Chain continue to thrive.

More than anything, we wanted to find someone who would love this business and this community as much as we have. We truly believe we found that in Emily, and we can’t wait for you to get to know her.

To every customer and local business who trusted us, hosted a party, stopped by an event, shared our posts, or simply cheered us on — thank you. You helped build something we’re incredibly proud of, and we’ll always be grateful for your support.

Be sure to come visit Karen and me before the end of September, and say “hi” to Emily as we get her onboarded and ready to take over!

This isn’t goodbye to Knotted Chain — it’s simply the start of a new chapter. We hope you’ll welcome Emily with the same love and support you’ve always shown us. We can’t wait to watch her take what we started and make it her own. ✨🔗

It breaks our hearts to do this, but unfortunately we have to cancel our Knotted Chain pop-up at tomorrow night’s Cocoon Brewing Market.

As many of you know, Karen’s husband (my brother), has been dealing with serious health complications following a major surgery in May. Tonight, he was unexpectedly admitted back into the ER in Green Bay and is now being transferred to Froedtert in Milwaukee for more specialized care.

Because of that, Karen will be by his side, and I’ll be staying back to help with their kids while she’s away.

Right now, our focus needs to be on family. We know many of you were planning to stop by, and we’re incredibly sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding, your patience, and for keeping our family in your thoughts as we continue to navigate the days ahead.
