We just framed this rare piece for a local coin dealer for his personal collection. It dates back to 1862, when there was a shortage of coins and they were printed as paper currency. The sheet of currency, showed a bit of wear, but was in surprisingly good condition.

Framing details: Traditional Academie frame by Larson Juhl, Artique solid color core mat board, Tru-Vue conservation clear glass, and a black acrylic ruled line. We had to pick a handmade paper for the hinges that was sheer enough to not show through the delicate sheet of currency.

I am so happy to frame twelve vintage JJ Audubon prints. Our client chose simple Shoji Larson Juhl frames and all archival materials. I feel good that they are framed in the best way possible for generations to enjoy.

It was a joy to frame these for our Philadelphia customer who just completed his military service! He chose simple yet elegant framing that will look classic for years to come. Note that the one on the right was for a colleague.

Framing details: Larson Juhl Shoji shadowbox in ebonized walnut, archival mats from Artique and Bainbridge, TruVue Museum glass. We used our Wizard CMC to cut the notched corners on the mat on left hand frame.

This weekend we send love to all of the Moms! We wouldn’t have done it without you! Here’s an image of our Mom thirty-eight years ago at our shop. We had a children’s art contest and of course Mom was there for the festivities. It seems like yesterday! Happy Mother’s Day to all!
