People will spend an hour choosing frames and about ninety seconds on the lenses going into them. That is backwards, because the lens is the part you actually look through all day.
A few things make a genuine difference. Anti-reflective coating cuts the glare that makes night driving miserable and keeps your eyes from vanishing behind reflections in photos. High-index materials let a strong prescription sit in a thinner, lighter lens instead of the thick edges people dread. Polarized lenses knock down glare coming off water and pavement, which you notice on a boat at Douglas Lake or driving into a sunset on Alcoa Highway.
None of that is an upsell. It is matching the lens to your prescription and to how you spend your days. Ask us about it at your next visit, or call (865) 584-0905.
