There’s always something new both upstairs and downstairs, so stop in and take a look around! The first weekend in June we were up at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck NY at the Country Living Fair! We always meet so many wonderful people in our travels and this year at the CLF was no exception! Thank you to all the fabulous folks who stopped by our booth! Traveling to vintage fairs and
markets to sell - and buy - is a great time! This summer, however, we'll be staying close to home. On most Saturdays you'll find us at the MIllbrook Farmer's Market right here in the Village of Millbrook. If you haven't been, take a ride out and check out all this local market has to offer - fresh local produce and flowers, amazing tarts, homemade cupcakes, hand made apple cider donuts, local honeys and syrups ... the list goes on. http://www.millbrooknyfarmersmarket.com/
In real life I'm a teacher! Back in 2012 after my dad passed away, I asked myself what he would have done at my age if he had known he had only 30 years left to live. I don't think he would have made grandiose plans to travel the world or anything like that - he loved being home and he loved his family. I do think, however, he would've had more fun ... He would have done more fishing. With that in mind, I thought I'd have more fun and began renting space at Ole Carousel and following my love for anything vintage ... I love pretty things ... I love rusty stuff! Eight short months later my mom passed and that summer I purchased my 1962 Shasta Airflyte. The purpose was to have more fun and I can say that buying and selling vintage has fulfilled that goal! I have a wonderful family and great friends who have supported and inspired me along the way and I've met some fabulous people as well. I look forward to having lots more fun pursuing this passion of mine!
