Fortunately, the supervisory department arrived early and positioned themselves directly in the middle of the job site. 😂🐾

Paisley and Lola are monitoring progress closely, sharing one orange monkey, and contributing absolutely nothing to the installation.

Supervision: fully staffed.
Productivity: questionable.

Paisley wanted Lola to play with her.

Lola finally agreed.

And then things escalated. 😂🐾

One minute Paisley’s happily playing tug-of-war from the comfort of her back… the next she’s been completely flipped over and reconsidering the terms of the agreement.

Sometimes you get exactly what you asked for. 😂

For Piper, happiness was never complicated. 💛🐾

A ball.
Some water.
And someone willing to throw it one more time.

She’d bring it back, drop it at my feet, look up at me, and be ready to do the whole thing all over again.

And again.

And again. 🎾💦

Looking back, I think there’s something beautiful about how dogs understand joy. They don’t save it for something bigger or better.

They find what they love—and keep coming back to it. 💛

An ENTIRE house FULL of toys…

and they chose THIS one. 😂🐾

A tiny little stuffed toy barely big enough for two Labrador mouths—but apparently the most valuable possession in the house the second someone else wanted it.

Paisley is ready for a proper game of tug.
Lola is still reviewing the instructions.

And that little look at me at the end?

“Was that right, Mom?” 😂💛

Labrador logic remains undefeated.

We spend so much time waiting for the big things.

The trip.
The milestone.
The answer.
The moment when everything finally feels settled.

But maybe a beautiful life is being built in all the ordinary moments in between—the morning light, a familiar laugh, a dog beside you, a conversation you didn’t want to end.

Maybe the moments we keep waiting for aren’t the ones that make a life.

Sitting at the top of the stairs, quietly taking everything in with her green baby perfectly positioned across her mouth.

No teeth.
No actual smile.
Still somehow very pleased with herself.
