Thank you Tea Krulos!

Natalie Gajewski says the inspiration for her subculture-orientated alternative clothing store Omen, came from her teenage years in the 90s. Her boyfriend told her about a cool new store and Gajewski says “we piled five or six punk, goth, or whatever kids to drive an hour and a half,” smoking ci******es and sharing mix tapes along the way. They ended up getting a little lost but eventually made it to the mall to visit Hot Topic.

It wasn’t the store itself that inspired Omen, but rather that feeling of having a place to go that made you feel seen and surrounded by people just like you.
