Lisa had this to say about her experience working with the collection,"For this challenge, I was excited to use a lot of different fabrics from my FQ bundles. I loved the variety of fabrics! My bundles were Sunny Side Up (yellows) and Blue Moon (blues). I numbered the fabrics in light to dark sequence so I could make notes on which fabric to place in which spot when I was sewing blocks. I chose 2 blocks initially, Toad in a Puddle and Double Sawtooth, from the Quilt Builder Card Deck. It was handy that the cards showed light and dark fabric placement ideas and that the cutting instructions for various block sizes were right on the back of each card. I made 12” blocks, 5 of the Toad in a Puddle and 4 of the Double Sawtooth and set them in a nine patch. Then I went searching for a block that would make an interesting border and chose Jewel Box in the 6” size. I liked the way it framed the center blocks when the border blocks were set in alternating rotations. I modified the corner blocks a bit to highlight the yellow in the frame. Once the pieced border was on, I felt like the medallion style layout needed a plain border to frame it, so I added yardage of one of the prints from the bundle to make a dark blue frame. The quilt finished 54” square."
