Renegade Running is a retail store and community of runners in Oakland, California.

Combining a curated collection of running shoes and apparel with training support and community programming, we strive to make running an inclusive experience for all.

INTRODUCING RENEGADE ELITE: At the 2024 Marathon Olympic trials, the lack of representation of people of color was notable. Renegade, with support from On, Precision Fuel & Hydration, and District Vision is supporting 13 athletes of color to qualify for the 2028 Olympic Trials and pursue a career in professional running. ⁠

We’re proud to introduce the Renegade Elite team, coached by top American marathon runner and coach Nell Rojas (). The team was chosen for their consistent commitment to the sport, eagerness to represent something bigger than just speed, willingness to commit to our community/ethos, the ability to run the OTQ times, and a belief in the team’s potential to make an impact. ⁠

LAM week with Nike ReCreate was truly something special. Thank you to everyone who made it possible and everyone who came out for our events! Our teams are hard at work getting ready to keep it going this weekend in Oakland.⁠

The Renegade x Nike ReCreate collection was co-created by our own Victor Diaz. Victor and the team at ReCreate re-imagined Nike deadstock to give it a chance at new life. The pieces draw on Victor's roots, inspired by Brown pride, speedo-inspired triathlon apparel of the 90’s, Rei Kawakubo’s genius, neighborhood parks, R&B music, lowriders, and love for ourselves, each other, our ancestors, and our collective power. ⁠
The poncho, available in LA this week and Oakland on March 19, is featured here on four members of our community who inspire Victor with their leadership, vision, collaboration, and creativity. We can't wait to see how you wear this capsule and the amazing things you accomplish in it.

We loved seeing everyone at last weekend’s sustainability-minded activities with .co and . Come by the LA shop all week to learn about Nike ReCreate’s ethos and mission, and bring old running shoes and apparel to recycle. ⁠
Next weekend we’ll run it back with more plastic recycling and on-site screenprinting plus music from and food from on Friday and a community dye bath™️ with , shoe cleaning with , and music with on Saturday!
