God is leading in a new direction and that means Sew Sew Mending & Repairs will be closing up shop. I will be finishing the items I have, but am unable to take any more projects.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their projects & repairs, both big and small. I am grateful to each of you for supporting this small venture of mine. 🩷

This was the ☺️ sweetest project. I was asked to size down and reshape two flannel shirts from a deeply loved family member who was called to Glory.

I think they both turned out great and hope they can be worn with love for years to come.🩷❤️

By far the most inquiries I have received are about repairing or replacing zippers. Most people are not happy when I have to tell them the truth.... zipper replacement is costly.

It takes an extraordinary amount of time to replace a zipper.
You have to:
+carefully pick apart the existing layers of a coat
+remove the old zipper without damaging the layers
+find and fit a new zipper
+hand baste the new zipper in place
+machine sew the zipper in place
+hand baste the layers of the coat with the new zipper
+machine sew the layers back together
+make sure that the front AND back lay correctly

All of this is times two 🫠and any zipper replacement is going to take several hours. *MOST* of the time, the cost of replacing a zipper is going to be more than replacing the coat.

With that said, if you LOVE the item, I will give you an estimate for replacement and you can decide if it is worth it to you. 💛
