Still becoming. Still living.

Some of the work of this season isn’t therapy or reinvention. It’s this. A loud room, a good song, letting yourself actually be in the moment instead of managing it from a distance.

Becoming doesn’t mean waiting until you’ve figured it all out to enjoy your life. Even in the uncertainty, even in the in-between, you’re allowed to have nights like this.🤍

Follow Gish W. | Midlife Reinvention for more honest conversations about midlife.

No commute. No excuse. Still 12 minutes late to my own Zoom.

Something about working from home turned "roll out of bed" into a full glam routine and I still can't be on time. Explain that.

Tag the woman who does the most for a meeting that's 3 feet from her bed 🤍

Midlife burnout | Rest is not the reward. It’s the work.

You finally sat down last night. And within ninety seconds your hand was already reaching for your phone.

Because sitting still with nothing to do felt like getting away with something.

You don’t have a time problem, sis. You have a permission problem.

Starting over sounds like loss. It isn't.

You're not going back to zero. You're starting with everything you already know, everything you survived, everything you finally stopped apologizing for.

That's not a restart. That's an advantage.

One woman built that life. The same woman gets to redesign it.

The blueprint worked. It got you here. It also had you shrinking to fit rooms you outgrew a decade ago.

Keeping it isn't loyalty. It's habit.

Real talk: you're allowed to want something that actually fits the woman you are now.

Still Becoming is the complete roadmap for this part. Link in bio. 🤍

Midlife intuition | The gap between knowing and moving.

Nobody tells you that the years between knowing and leaving aren’t confusion. They’re stalling with really good PR.

The reasons are always true. The money, the timing, the people counting on you. Though those things are true doesn’t mean it’s the real reason.

New episode is up, sis. Link in bio. 🤍

1. Stop calling this season a crisis and start calling it what it actually is: a becoming.
2. Let the friendships that have run their course run their course. Quietly. Without guilt.
3. Get honest about what I’ve been tolerating in the name of keeping the peace.
4. Move my body like I love it, not like I’m punishing it for changing.
5. Stop waiting until I feel “ready” to take up more space.
6. Grieve the versions of my life that didn’t happen, without making that grief my whole story.
7. Invest in one thing that signals to me that this chapter is worth showing up for.
8. Clear out everything in my home that belongs to a woman I’m no longer becoming.
9. Find the language for what I’ve been carrying silently, and say it out loud.
10. Stop shrinking my ambition to make other people comfortable.
11. Let perimenopause be information, not an indictment.
12. Write down who I am right now, not who I used to be or who I’m trying to become.
13. Unfollow anything that makes midlife look like a consolation prize.
14. Say yes to the thing that excites and terrifies me in equal measure.
15. Stop apologizing for outgrowing what used to fit.

Save this for the next time someone tries to convince you your best years are behind you.

And if you’re in your becoming season, follow for more honest conversations about midlife.

Midlife identity | The in-between.

Nobody tells you that not having the new answer yet isn’t a sign you’re lost.

It’s a sign you’re honest.

The woman who’s still figuring out the sentence isn’t behind. She’s just done pretending the old one fits. And that takes more courage than most people realize.

If you’ve been in that in-between place lately, sis the new episode is for you. Link in bio. 🤍
