Wow. What an incredible day.
I have spent the last two days soaking up all the love and joy this event brought me and everyone involved.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who came out to support the very first Beautifully Me Bridal Showcase. To our models, families, volunteers, sponsors, and every person who filled the room with cheers, love, and encouragement—thank you for making this event more beautiful than we ever imagined.
This showcase was born from a dream that started when our daughter, Mya, was just a few days old. After learning she has Down syndrome, I found myself wondering what her future might look like. Would she fall in love? Would she get married? Would she get to experience those big, beautiful moments we all dream about for our children?
Yesterday, I got a glimpse of those dreams.
Watching our incredible models walk the runway with confidence, joy, and pride was something I will never forget. They reminded all of us that beauty is not defined by a diagnosis, and that every person deserves to feel celebrated, valued, and seen.
To our models: thank you for trusting us, inspiring us, and lighting up the runway. You were the heart of this event.
To everyone who attended: thank you for believing in this vision and helping us create something truly special. Your support, applause, and love meant more than words can express.
We are already dreaming about the future and hope this is just the beginning of a tradition that celebrates confidence, inclusion, and the beauty of being exactly who you are.
