💸 Pass a Stitch Along! 💸

One of our biggest goals at Top Stitch has always been to make mending and sewing more accessible. We know that learning a new skill or repairing a well-loved garment isn't always possible for every budget, and we don't want that to be the reason someone misses out.

That's why we've created Pass a Stitch Along, a community fund supported entirely by optional donations from fellow community members. Whether it helps someone attend a class, repair a favorite jacket, or keep a treasured heirloom in use a little longer, every contribution helps another member of our community participate.

If you're able, consider adding a few extra stitches to someone else's journey by donating in our web shop, while scheduling your mending drop-off with us, or signing up for a class. Together, we can keep more clothes in circulation, more skills in our community, and more people gathered around the sewing table.

Our studio is located at 203 Hull St, Suite C. There is typically street parking, as well as a parking lot located on Hull St.

Our next Open Studio is coming up! 🪡📅 Saturday, October 10th (11:00 AM - 3:00 PM) at 203 Hull ST, Suite C 📍

This is the day of the month where we open our doors and accept appointment-free walk-ins. Bring in a single item with minor issues for an on-the-spot mini-mend, drop off your whole mending pile for pick-up at a later date, or just come say hi and check out the studio. We love to meet new people and chat sewing and sustainability!

Our studio is ready for you—and your parking needs! Here's what to know about parking:

The Top Stitch Mending studio is located at 203 Hull St, Suite C, in the Manchester neighborhood of Richmond, VA. We're on the first floor of The Paper Company Apartments, and the front door is on Hull Street. There is typically street parking within a block or two and a small shared parking lot located at the very corner of Hull St. and Brander St. with a few spaces. ⚠ Please do not park in the larger lot behind the building as it requires a permit and you could be towed.

Calling all threaducators🧵If you—or someone you know—teaches a low-waste fiber art, then this is your sign to share your skill to others through our classes!

Our class offerings focus on low-waste and re-use fiber art practices, and we'd love if you'd consider bringing your expertise to our vibrant community sewing hub by emailing us at [email protected] with your class idea. We can even help with lesson planning! We offer group classes focusing on various skill levels.

Just a re-mend-er: Our monthly Top Stitch & Friends Event with .acupuncture and along with a Grand Opening is this Saturday—and we are sew excited! 🪡🎉

At Top Stitch & Friends events, we invite other local repair specialists, low-waste sustainability initiatives, and creative reuse makers to offer their products and services to the community. Top Stitch & Friends events are the same as Open Studio, but with vend-friends! Restore your scissors and knives back to their former glory with Jacob and try out acupuncture in a zero-gravity chair with Nic (100% of KOAN Acupuncture proceeds will be donated to the Gold Lion Community Cafe )

📍➡🚗 Our Manchester studio is located at 203 Hull ST, Suite C. There is a small parking lot located a block and a half from our entrance, keep an eye out for the Warehouse 201 signs!
