I love my little flag buntings from so very much. They are a fun little decoration in my home. I have a different colored set for each season. I recommend that you check out her Etsy and grab one in every color! I was inspired to make some mini versions for Free Art Friday to put in my neighborhood Little Free Libraries. These are made with Tilda Chambray fabric in a collection of spring colors. I hope the finders enjoy them! ��

Easter things.

What fun I had working on my Valentine exchange project! I decided to go with a practical valentine and made a needle book. I used the tutorial from - Mind you this is the first time that I have ever quilted anything in my life and her tutorials were so helpful. I am very happy with the finished product. As always Benzie’s 100% wool felt was a dream to work with and always looks so tidy in a finished product. It is on it’s way to it’s recipient today! I hope they enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Happy Winter Solstice!
This photo does not represent the typical winter vibes one would expect. These cosmos self seeded in my garden bed. Despite seeing almost so sun for the last 30 days, they bloomed anyway! I think this is a perfect representation of a winter solstice intention. This year has been full off uncertainty for so many, but good things can still happen despite that. Take care of yourselves out there.

Oh what a joy it was to participate this year in the ornament exchange! My swap partner totally nailed it! She stalked my feed and learned that I am mushroom obsessed and made me the prettiest ornament in all the land! Thank you for hosting an awesome swap! And thank you Diane for taking the time to make such a lovely ornament for me 💫

Just taking a moment to appreciate this October morning light. Before the time change. The last year or so I have been practicing the art of home whimsy, making little fun spaces that bring me joy every day. Holidays and birthdays are a fun to decorate for, but what about the rest of the year? I hung these scrap buntings up for my son’s birthday back in June - we loved them so much the just stayed! I just ordered a jewel tone set for Winter, and a pastel water color set for spring. I will add a fall color way next year. It’s nice to have a little future whimsy plan. Adults need a little bit of magic in their lives too! Make the ordinary fun! Do a little something that makes you happy today.
