the first~ I will always believe that the future is female and had hoped my loved sweater from would usher in as our first female president- Instilling unity, joy, and empathy back into this country rather than bigotry, hate, and division.

and the last via is a reminder for all of us which was much needed for me this morning.

I am broken, dumbfounded, and shocked, yet unsurprised by what just happened in this election. like many, I am tired and saddened that the battle not to be set back 100 years continues. we must protect all the important rights and lives that stand in the balance and still somehow always find hope. love 🤍💗

I’ve been grieving a lot lately. Life is not easy sometimes. Throw in pandemic, health issues, world and political issues on top of personal life things and it can be messy. We all go through it in our own ways.

Like so many, it’s not often that I’m fully transparent on here. I’m always focused and wanting to make this space a place where beauty and light live. I, however, can’t always post just a pretty picture and fitting image. Sometimes depth and vulnerability are necessary.

I wrote this today in a moment of emotion 🖤 and thought that perhaps these words could help someone other than myself. The darkened image of my favorite rose seemed appropriate for beauty and pain. A reminder that some shadows help us bloom more if we can move through them and let them do so.
