The first day of school is filled with so many emotions.
As a kid I was always super nervous to start school.
I used to be quite shy for years…I overcame that later in life but making friends in elementary school was hard for me.
I was also a perfectionist and very hard on myself as told to by my teachers so school felt exhausting.
Then I became an elementary school teacher and that was one of the most fulfilling, challenging exciting careers ever! I’m so thankful for those years.
Then of course when you have kids…. The school experience is all encompassing and filled with experiences and emotions for the entire family.
To be the school year is where the calendar for that year begins and we never know how it will unfold which makes life unpredictable and hopefully filled with life changing lessons and some joy along the way.
