Life is complicated clothes should be simple...

Your denim jacket can do more than casual.

A darker wash and a little more structure can give denim an entirely different feel. I love wearing this one where I might normally reach for a blazer — it still feels easy, but the whole outfit looks more polished.

And as we head into fall, pieces that can do more than one job are the ones I want in my closet.

Same denim. Different feel.

For 20 years, women walked through the doors of Frox looking for clothes.

But somewhere along the way, I realized it was rarely just about the clothes.

It was about how she felt when she looked in the mirror. Whether what she was wearing still felt like her. And sometimes, figuring out who she was becoming next.

The store is gone, but that part of the work never left me.

That’s why I created Style by Jill — and why I still believe you don’t need more clothes. You need to understand what works for the woman you are now.

Sometimes there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the outfit.

It just doesn’t quite feel like you.

For me, it’s often the finishing pieces — a sweater over my shoulders, an interesting bag or a great shoe. Those little details are what turn clothes into personal style.

And if you’re not quite sure what your style needs right now, I can help you figure out where to start.

Comment STYLE and I’ll send it to you.

Your closet can be full and getting dressed can still feel harder than it should.

Sometimes the answer isn’t buying more. It’s figuring out what your wardrobe is actually missing — better fit, more versatility, the right basics, or simply a clearer sense of your style.

That’s why I created The Becoming Assessment — to help you figure out where to start.

You don’t have to put away your summer clothes just because fall is coming.

I’m still wearing these linen wide-leg pants — I just changed what I’m wearing with them.

A chocolate brown striped top, brown belt and sandals make the linen feel completely different. And that statement necklace pulls it all together.

Sometimes transitioning your wardrobe isn’t about buying something new.

It’s about changing the color story around what you already own.

And chocolate brown is going to be everywhere this fall. 🤎

Save this one for those in-between weather days.

Jeans and a white tee are easy. But sometimes they need a little help to feel like an outfit.

Add one structured layer and suddenly those same basics feel pulled together and intentional.

You don’t need complicated. You just need to know what to add.

Follow for more ways to make getting dressed easier.

You don’t always need something new to make your wardrobe feel new.

I’ve worn this camel polo and these jeans before — just not together. Pairing them gave me a fresh starting point, and the leopard belt added a little personality and a nod to fall without dressing for cooler weather before it actually arrives.

Sometimes the best “new” outfit is already hanging in your closet.

Save this for the next time you think you have nothing to wear.🤎

Friday dressing can still have a little personality. 🤍

Classic jeans are always a good starting point, but when they feel a little too basic, look for a top with one detail that makes it special.

For me, it’s the ruffled cuff on this pinstripe blouse. Feminine, classic, and just enough.

Happy Friday!

Getting dressed really doesn’t have to be complicated.

Sometimes the best outfits start with the simplest foundation — a great white shirt and jeans you feel good in.

Then make it yours.

A belt. Great shoes. A statement necklace. Those little finishing touches are what take two basics and turn them into an outfit that feels like you.

Today I’m wearing the Authentic Straight Leg jean from J.Jill — an easy straight leg that makes a great starting point for so many looks.

Simple. Wearable. Repeatable.
