Founder and designer Rachel Van Brussel built VAN BRUSSEL with a refusal to rush. Relaxed tailoring, sculptural silhouettes and meticulous details, inside and out, reflect her belief that what we wear should be made with purpose and built to endure.

She is the fourth portrait in The Threads Between Us, this year's ADL Fashion Week campaign celebrating the people, places and creative connections woven through Adelaide's fashion community.

After years spent absorbing British heritage tailoring, European sensibility and Japanese consideration, Rachel returned to Adelaide to build VAN BRUSSEL properly: slowly, locally and without cutting corners.

What does it take to create beyond the trend cycle?

Her story continues tomorrow.

We’re still on cloud nine after the launch party for our gorgeous new home at Shop 3G, Gay’s Arcade ❤️

A huge thank you, once again, to our beautiful community who came along to celebrate this very special milestone with us. We felt so much love, support, encouragement and kindness throughout the night, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

The biggest thank you to Parley for keeping us very well hydrated 🍷, arvoflora.adl for the absolutely stunning flowers 🌸 and Ekaterina Shipova Raw for capturing the night - and this milestone - so perfectly. Also huge thanks to the Adelaide Arcade | Grand. Elegant. Timeless. team for all of your support with helping to get this next chapter off the ground!

We are SO proud and excited to finally welcome you into the new world of VAN BRUSSEL at 3G Gay’s Arcade, Adelaide (Adelaide Arcade)

Our new home is a curated expression of everything we love - thoughtful design, beautiful craftsmanship and, in true VAN BRUSSEL style, touches of play, whimsy and the unexpected.

And with a new home comes some very exciting new additions…

We are beyond excited to now be stocking the gorgeous .swoon - Designed and made in South Australia, their pieces are crafted from the dreamiest premium fabrications - think recycled nylon, fine merino wool, lustrous silk and more. We couldn’t think of a more perfect brand to sit within the VAN BRUSSEL world.

And this is only the beginning… We’ll be introducing some other beautiful brands to the store over the coming weeks, so stay tuned.

A HUGE thank you to all of the gorgeous faces who came to celebrate our opening last Thursday night. It was so special to see the space filled with friends, customers, vino, music and lots of love. Social pics are coming very soon, but in the meantime, enjoy this little introduction to our new space ✨

Our doors are now open Monday - Saturday, 10am - 5pm, so pop a VAN BRUSSEL visit in the calendar and come say hello.
