FROM KNIGHTSBRIDGE TO JAPAN. NOW IN MOUNT HAWTHORN. 🇬🇧🇯🇵
Founded in London in 1969 by opticians Graham Cutler and Tony Gross, Cutler and Gross began with a simple philosophy: eyewear should be more than functional it should be an expression of individuality. Their earliest frames were individually handmade in the workshop above their Knightsbridge store.
More than 55 years later that dedication to craftsmanship continues.
Cutler and Gross first introduced Japanese-made titanium eyewear in 2001. Today these exceptional frames are crafted in Sabae, Japan a city internationally renowned for generations of precision eyewear craftsmanship.
Using lightweight Japanese titanium, skilled artisans employ intricate moulding, precision welding and even hand-roll the rim wire, creating eyewear designed for strength, comfort and beautiful detailing.
And now, we’re proud to bring this extraordinary craftsmanship to Mount Hawthorn.
