Canadian Beauties is becoming a leader in pageantry in Alberta. In addition we also provide judging and hosting services to pageants and coaching to contestants. Canadian Beauties specializes in fashion shows, fundraising events, pageants & festivals. However we can produce any event, big or small. This page is dedicated to our pageant division. Flashback Friday ✨ September 12, 1948

A remarkable glimpse into pageant history from Atlantic City, New Jersey. 🇨🇦🇺🇸

Miss Canada 1948 – Betty Jean Ferguson is pictured alongside newly crowned Miss America 1948 – Beatrice “Bebe” Shopp, just one day after Shopp won the Miss America title.

Betty Jean Ferguson represented Halifax, Nova Scotia, when she won Miss Canada and travelled to Atlantic City to represent Canada during the 1948 Miss America festivities.

Almost 80 years later, these original press photographs offer such a fascinating window into the early history of Canadian pageantry. 👑
