Halloween but make it Slow Fashion!

When I was a kid, costumes didn’t come from stores; you made them, often from what you had. Somewhere along the way, we started thinking costumes had to be exactly *the thing* they were supposed to be and imagination and creativity were swapped for off the rack. Well, we’re doing Halloween sustainably over here, with items you can use *every* Halloween, and beyond.

Here’s a peek at some new and limited edition Spooky Season Winterluxe offerings coming to End Times Garage Sale and All Hallows’ Eve Market and our website this year! From patent marble Gravestone charms to seasonal beltable pouches and some Nun-glass cases (see what I did there? 😂🤦‍♀️) there’s lots of one-of-a-kind ways to embrace all things Halloween this year, while using 100% reclaimed materials.

Our spooky collection will hit our website shortly, and for in-person shopping, save the dates: End Times Garage Sale takes place September 27th *and* October 18th and All Hallows Eve is October 3-4! 🦇👻⚰️🪦

A new flock of chickadees, in recycled leather!

This is another Astrosatchel re-do, because it was such a favourite way back when, and I like the idea of elevating this with a material switch-up to make it Winterluxe. Plus, it just feels like the right time again for image forward work.

Check out the original, with some of our first recycled cashmere pieces, as shown 15 years ago by Cathy Church. People always ask if I’ll do Astrosatchel again but honestly, probably not. But we can re-imagine our favourite images periodically and remember how much fun we had making these pieces, that now feel like old friends, for you.

It’s been nice to revisit this one as a beltable pouch, “new” for 2026, one of the offerings you’ll find at our First Pick Handmade trunk show in September. Did you have this when it originally came out?

Letting the sun do its part today, getting us ready for our 2026 Cashmere collection debut! Each piece we’ve made gets washed, air dried and checked for quality before the market season even begins, and our first market is one month away!

I had to… just something about burgundy and orange together, with a matching marble backdrop courtesy Heritage Hall. As much as we love Summer, Fall is just around the corner and geez, do we ever feel it this year! Not sure about you but we’re totally ready to trade the pool floaties for Halloween decorations.
For 2026 we’re really leaning into the weird and witchy so we couldn’t resist sharing these one-of-a-kind beltable pouches finished up in the studio today, using reclaimed leather. These will be at End Times Garage Sale September 27th + Oct 18th and All Hallows’ Eve Market Oct 3-4, so save the dates, we’ll have some select cashmere pieces at these events too 🦇🖤

Thought our cowls for 2026 were done but really couldn’t resist making a few more rainbows and colour studies. Not sure why these are so satisfying to make, but they are! Using up these wee slivers of colour instead of tossing them feels really good too. These are now ready to go in the washer and get dried on the deck in the summer heat so they’re fresh and cozy when the fall chill sets in. 🌈

A first look at something new for Fall 2026. Our long and wide scarf but with some piecework sections as we try to get thru some of the big box of offcuts. These feel like part of a kaleidoscope and it’s been interesting to revisit this style we introduced 2 years ago with a new treatment.
