“Schraube locker”: ENPAL turns pressure into permission.

Our new interview with ENPAL is live on VAKUUM.

ENPAL talks about the new track “Schraube locker,” its official music video, a month spent at Funkhaus making an EP, writing songs from keywords, and the moment when a room full of people starts singing along before they fully know what they are singing.

We also talk about the positive version of having a screw loose, the pressureless room a concert can create, and why today’s show at SOUND BIESENTHAL is going to be a concert, not a performance.

The official music video for “Schraube locker” is out now.

Today, Saturday, August 1, ENPAL performs live at 6 PM during the opening weekend of SOUND BIESENTHAL, this year’s edition of Art Biesenthal at Wehrmuehle. The exhibition runs from August 1 to 30, 2026, placing sound at the centre of questions around perception, space, memory and social relations.

We are in deep grief. We are devastated. We are angry.

This is not just an attack on democracy and freedom. Let’s call it what it is: This was a malicious attack on the q***r community.

The CSD is more than a demonstration. It’s a celebration of love and the liberty to love and be loved. At the same time it is a fight – a fight for better rights and protection of q***r people.

And while the question of safety keeps coming up, we find ourselves wondering: What safety plan does the city have in place in the face of daily violence against q***r people? When people are attacked on the open street because of their identity. Are there street blockades in those cases, too?

And so, first and foremost, we shouldn’t be asking ourselves how we can protect people or at what point someone becomes a danger to the public. We should ask ourselves what we can do as a society to prevent such violent fantasies from even surfacing in the first place. Safety begins in the minds of our society, and that is exactly where we must start.

We feel the pain of our community. Our hearts are bleeding. But we will not get scared and we will not become quiet.

Take care of yourself, take care of your friends, family and neighbors. We don’t buy into the fear that they are trying to make us feel. We spread love and take care of our community – ask each other how we are and be there for one another.
Now more than ever.

It’s the last show of day three. Pouring rain. The whole industry squeezes under the covered passageway in front of Acht Berlin, an architectural space in Mitte. While waiting for the entrance, some try not to burn others with their ci******es; some try to choose between cucumber kombucha and prosecco. The choice of drinks was totally on theme, as we discovered later. The weather as well.

His 5-track EP User Interface, released on June 26th, explores consciousness as a system shaped by emotions, routines, social pressure, and digital influence. The project explores the idea of people moving through life with an invisible HUD in their heads, constantly tracking identity, pressure, progress, and self-worth like internal software. Technology becomes a metaphor for self-awareness, while daily life turns into a battleground between overstimulation, reflection, and the attempt to not lose your own vision in the process.
