How I'm keeping cool in this heat is Regency wear- I normally wear this as a petticoat, but to cut down on layers all I'm wearing is this, plus a chemise beneath. Add a fan and lacy gloves, you have a full outfit!

Knitting group today! Ignore the fact that I'm not knitting, it was too hot to have a bundle of wool sitting in my lap as I worked 😅

I'm not the first to discover it, but spending time with people outside of work on a regular basis is so important. For me, that's doing something creative while surrounded by 70+ year olds for a couple of hours every week. Are any of you part of any clubs that keep you going?

Chronic fatigue has not been doing good at the moment, I think in part due to the extreme heat that's affected the UK for the past few weeks. Thursday would normally be my writing day for my 'alternative dress' book, however I have a commission that I want to finish that has spilled over more days than I planned due to many, many breaks.

I did finish this book this morning though! I'm currently exploring why young people today are more reluctant to dress alternatively, and this book was a wonderful source for the harm that social media has done to young people's minds. Would thoroughly recommend if you have children or are planning to!
