The 1980s were a fascinating time in Japan, marked by an economic boom and rapid technological advances. While the world was changing, many traditional crafts continued to stand the test of time. Our new beautiful silks are an extremely rare find for the fabric collector, reflecting this pivotal period in Japan's history, when kimonos began to move away from everyday wear and became garments reserved primarily for special occasions.

Hand-woven on traditional looms in Kyoto during the 1980s, our four kimono silks are real treasures. Online now. ❤️
