We’re so grateful for all the messages from our Beautiful Silks clients letting us know what they’d love to see restocked, a lot of you also asked to know what was running low.

We try to ensure the favourites are always in stock, or an appropriate alternative at least, but we’ve quite a few bulk orders over the last few weeks, which is great, but leaves some wondering what to do.

A huge order from a long time client in America has left us with but 2 of our Ahimsa Silk handwoven unbleached wild Silk Tussah Shawl’s.

Harvested, spun & woven all by hand at its source in small rural Indian village using ancient traditions.
These shawls are lightweight, with rich rustic aesthetics, a soft billowing drape & a delicately textured hand feel, its generous size means its very versatile, styled as a shawl, wrap, scarf even for interior design.

Since taking over the Beautiful Silks reins we’ve been working tirelessly to figure out what our beautiful clients want to get their hands on, & what they miss.

We restocked fabric favourites like the Organza Scrim, Habotai & Dupion, then replenished a huge amount of dearly missed scarves, like the Linen Shawls, Wild Tussah’s & alot of Wool.
We’re waiting on plenty of new stock to arrive, hopefully end of November.

Our brand New range of glorious Silk Matkas have been lovingly received, in particular the especially slubby mid weight variety.
Its handwoven with irregular thick spots & knots that create a heavily textured, linen- or tweed-like appearance, highly sought after by designers & textile enthusiasts.
