Riverton was on our mini trip late last month, giving us an opportunity to visit Lumea, the world's largest wholesale supplier of South Pacific seashells and the largest trader of pāua shell globally—purchasing over 90 percent of New Zealand's commercially harvested pāua shell.
Sustainability is at the heart of Luméa. Their shell is responsibly sourced as a by-product of the seafood industry, transforming a natural resource into beautiful, high value materials while reducing waste and supporting environmentally conscious design.
It was a pleasure to see the range of creativity coming from this by product. Precious is very proud to be a client. When your Precious Pants reach their end of life, you can decorate your garden with the buttons....

Our intrepid traveller, Rob, is product testing his tweeds again. This time in the Thar Desert, India, in 35 degrees, on a search for his camel....
Pants were comfortable, insulating, robust!, and travelled from day to evening seamlessly...

I'm heading to Riverton in a fortnight and I'm looking forward to dropping in to our button supplier.
We love our shell buttons which will return to earth at the end of their useful life, hopefully well down the track.
Lumea, of which Ocean Shell is a part, is the world’s largest wholesaler of ocean shells from the South Pacific, imagine that, from Riverton....

We have a few ex-Aotearoans who have taken Precious garments to other parts of the world. One of those is Deepi, now in London, hopefully getting good wear out of his Pants and Shirt:
"I just received my parcel. The quality of the material, stitching and cut such high quality and skilled for both. I am so happy with the fit of both. It is really cold so the pants will be really good. The fit of the trousers is amazing thank you for your advice.
