💍❤️ 2️⃣0️⃣ YEARS DOWN & A LIFETIME TO GO! ❤️💍

🍾🥂✨ Happy 20th Anniversary to us! ✨🥂🍾

Our story started way back in 1️⃣9️⃣9️⃣8️⃣—online! 💻 And I’m talking WAY before Match.com, dating apps, cell phone cameras, FaceTime, or video chats. 😂

Back then, there was IRC—Internet Relay Chat. You actually had to have a little faith 🙏 that the person on the other side of that computer screen was telling you the truth about who they were. 🙈🙉🙊 Talk about OLD SCHOOL internet dating! 😂

After 8️⃣ years of dating, renting an apartment, moving into a townhouse, building a house 🏡, and buying more cars 🚗 than I can even count… we finally looked at each other and thought, “Where exactly do couples go from here?” 🤔😂

I was 3️⃣7️⃣ and JC was 3️⃣5️⃣, so apparently the next logical step was marriage. 💒💍

And in true JC fashion, there was no elaborate candlelit proposal, no rose petals, and no getting down on one knee. 😂 His incredibly romantic proposal was:
“Would you like to hitch your cart to my wagon?” 🤠🤣

YEP. That was it. 😂 And just to make it even better, I was standing in our walk-in closet when he asked me. I was basically cornered… how was I supposed to say no?! 🤣🤣🤣

And here we are… 2️⃣0️⃣ YEARS LATER! ❤️

I’d love to tell you that every one of those years has been pure wedded bliss, but anyone who has been married for a while knows that’s not real life. Marriage truly is for better, for worse, and everything in between. ❤️

We’ve experienced the highs, the lows, the laughter, the tears, the celebrations, the disagreements, the “you’re getting on my last nerve” moments 🤦‍♀️😂, and everything else that comes with building a life together.

Neither one of us is particularly easy some days. 😜 But through it all, we still make each other laugh. 🤣❤️ And after all these years, I think that laughter has carried us through more than we probably even realize.

🤔💭 CONTENT CREATOR QUESTION… HELP ME UNDERSTAND THIS!

I’m genuinely perplexed by something, and I know my fellow content creators will understand where I’m coming from. 👀

One of my recent Reels received 498 views. According to my insights, 151 followers/friends watched for at least 3 seconds… yet out of my 6,000+ followers, only 8 people reacted and just 2 took a moment to comment. 😳

And it got me thinking…

Isn’t the whole point of SOCIAL media to be… well, SOCIAL? 🤷‍♀️📱

Maybe I’m looking at it differently, but when I scroll through Facebook/Instagram/TT and see posts from friends, followers, small businesses, and fellow content creators, I try to ENGAGE. ❤️

It doesn't have to be a paragraph.
