All of our MOB content are either reposts shared by our customers, family, and friends or content that we capture, edit and post.
In an AI driven world we hope to connect with our audience by sharing real people, in real moments, sharing real love for our MOB hats.
Most times the content we can capture is of us doing what we do in our MOB and pressing record on the GoPro.
So, here I am, on your feed again!
I want to share the backstory of these images so you can hopefully share a deeper appreciation for them and for the energy that goes into creating these posts.
These captures were from a Wednesday afternoon after work and school. I packed up the car, picked my daughter up and headed straight to the beach.
The sun was out, the water was warm, the waves were head high (with some bigger sets), and there was a slight offshore breeze.
I always feel a little silly with my GoPro mounted on my board, as that comes with a certain kind of judgement from other surfers in the lineup, but I gotta do what I gotta do for the gram 😆.
Each image in the post is in chronological order from this magical afternoon and are still grabs from video I took while trying to catch a few waves.
🌀The first image is of me not dropping in and looking out the back to see what was coming. Due to the offshore spray coming off the wave and the sun shining through, it created this rainbow 🌈 around me that I didn’t realize was there until I saw the footage.
🌀The second image is a still grab of my genuine stoke after riding a super fun wave all to myself while about to turn the camera off.
💖The 3rd image is a very special to me. This was right after I was not in position to catch the first wave of the set, but saw that my daughter was in perfect position to catch the second wave of the set. This moment is of me watching her ride that wave all the way in with the most joy in my heart and on my face.
🌀The 4th & 5th clips are vibey moments that presented themselves while I was going through the footage to find something aesthetically pleasing while also showcasing our hats and the beauty of nature.
We hope you like them. Thank you for being here.
